In Viking Age mythology, the Einherjar are warriors who died in battle and were brought to Valhalla by Valkyries. In Valhalla, the Einherjar battle daily in preparation for the events of Ragnarök. When evening comes, they eat, feast and are brought their fill of mead by Valkyries.
